IN CELEBRATION OF BEING ALIVE

Earth in its full glory has always fascinated me.The existence of so many forms of life is amazing. But, the world today has taken a new turn. There is utter chaos, mayhem ,terrorism and hatred seeped in the minds of the Homosapien race.  LO...BEHOLD...Before, you typecast this blog as another hypocratic view of the world, let me clarify that I used the above lines only to have a melancholic beginning - heavily inspired from the detective stories I read as a teenager. This is just my way of thanking the super natural power responsible for my existence for making it so beautiful.

The title might seem a bit unusual but it has left an indelible impression in my mind. The title again inspired by a story from my English text book in middle school is a constant reminder of how lucky I am to be breathing when thousands around the world have breathed their last.Celebrating life is not about just another round of  food and drinks. It is just an easier way of complaining less. When we realise how difficult it is to just breathe, then even things like errant powercuts, complaining professors, possessive boyfriend, troublesome acne and shrinking pocket money which otherwise seem like the greatest ordeals look very small in comparison.

The generation today which looks for an excuse to party(including me) should wake up to the fact that life in itself is a celebration with its highs and lows. When the kid on the footpath can be happy with his broken toy car why cant we be happy with filled stomachs and cosy cushions. This thought has made me say cheers to life....with its share of odds but i still have it and can call it mine.....
