One heart, two kidneys, a pair of lungs, a1.3kg mass in the uppermost part of the body, an elastic expanding giant bag which craves for food and the result of all the evil and of course a great lot of nerves, bones and blood vessels.Inspite of having so many essentials in common why is the homosapien race still different???Is it the geographical demarcation, the extra melanin content of the skin or merely the nasty notion people possess that they simply dropped down from heaven or hell or whatever.
Now, I'm completely aware of the fact that each person is unique. Each one with an exclusive set of skills can rule the world and the like.I would like to limit my differences to the physical appearance alone and continue my opinion. As for MAN(or woman ) as a whole, at-least for the next fifty years of my life I wouldn't be eligible to discuss.
Racial discrimination was a thing of the past (or so I felt). It was cast so deeply in our minds I didn't realize. I would restrict my observation to the subcontinent alone, I'm familiar with. In this technology of apples and black berries which no longer refer to the fruits of the same name it is appalling to realize that we need things as silly as the complexion to form a bias towards a person. All the more scandalous is the fact that an accidental reference to a certain region invokes such a prejudiced response.
I remember how one of my acquaintance squeaked in horror when someone referred her to be of that particular region as she was fluent in that particular language. The most outrageous part was when she retorted by saying that "she was not as dark as a southie". Now, I realize that it is no wonder people stare at us when we travel abroad. When in one country there is so much distortion and fuss over such a miniscule issue, when the distance increases the differentiation is bound to swell as well.
This again makes me appreciate our friends with five senses who in spite of a missing sense seem to be far more well behaved and cultured than the two legged apes. Of what use is technology which boasts of connecting people when it cannot merely disconnect the distortion in their senses
United we stand was the slogan
Didn't realise it was actually "united are we only when we are of the same colour, religion, caste, creed, subcast, region ..........
