It is a known fact that all the species on earth constantly evolve.Each time a transformation takes place a few unnecessary body parts are left out or a few additions which are needed are included.Of lately the human race has evolved too.Though the body parts remain the same their utility seems to be minimized.The human body has always had a pair of hands. They proved to be utilitarian time and again for doing a variety of activities as intended.But of lately only one arm seems to be of use.The other arm when not itching and scratching the family jewels, is always busy with the iphone, tablet, blackberry, blueberry and god knows what.
Nowadays, I come across so many people for whom their new mobile seems to be the latest arm-candy. The erstwhile arm candies like girlfriends, boyfriends, Pomeranian, etc have been shifted to the left side as the right hand is busy with the mobile. The lady with her infant in the pram,the guy with his reference books, the girl with the manicured nails, the uncle with the walking stick in one hand, the aunty at the marriage function with her huge clutch, everyone had the same problem. They were struggling to do the activities they were doing as they had to do everything with one hand .As the other hand was busy with their priced possession.
The case is even worse, in the case of touch screen mobiles when a game is in progress. In that case both the hands are busy and help is required even to grab a bite or give a high-phi. But, there is a solution for that too. The bite is taken from someone else's hand and hi-phi is done with the leg. I'm left to wonder what else can be done with a single arm.It also reminds me of the other scenario when the people in the above cases couldn't achieve what they desired to do.The lady almost ran the pram into a car parked nearby, the guy left with a twisted ankle and a few bruises, the girl broke her nail and her wrist when she rammed into the boutique door, the uncle is on bed for 6 weeks and aunty has said good bye to her kitty parties for a good 2 months.
All these incidents are more than reminders to the evil we have brought upon ourselves.Technology should help in making our lives simpler not harder.What was once regarded as a boon to mankind has unleashed its malevolent side.It has finally made us its slave.
But even alarming is the fact that though we realise the damages it causes, we are not willing to blame the mobile.Our invention has become so dear to us that we are okay even if it results in few deformities in God's invention(us). When man has learned to survive in many a difficult situations, it will not be long before he devises a remedy for this too. But, till then the catastrope that follows is going to be a fearsome one .
